CCUS delegation to Canada
Date
14–18. SEP 2026
Location
Webinar online
April 30, 2026, 15.00-16.00 PM
In Alberta, Canada, carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) is already a core part of both climate action and industrial development. Here, strong policy frameworks, infrastructure and industry collaboration have enabled solutions to move from plans to full-scale deployment.
Through the Capture North project, you can become part of an established collaboration between Danish and Canadian stakeholders – and gain direct access to knowledge, networks and concrete collaboration opportunities.
You will gain:
- Insight into the full CCUS value chain – from capture to utilisation and storage
- Access to international partners and new networks
- Experience with technology development, testing and demonstration
- Insights into business models and export opportunities
- Up to DKK 20,000 in financial support for participation

Why join?
CCUS is a key tool for reaching Denmark’s and the EU’s climate targets – but development in Denmark is still challenged by regulation, financing, and access to large-scale test facilities.
In Alberta, many of these barriers have already been addressed.
This gives you the opportunity to:
- See how CCUS works in practice
- Learn from a market that is further ahead
- Bring back knowledge you can apply directly in your own organization
Part of Capture North
The delegation is part of Capture North, a collaboration among Green Hub Denmark, Clean, and Triangle Energy Alliance.
The project strengthens Danish companies’ and knowledge institutions’ access to international markets, partnerships, and CCUS knowledge – with a focus on technology, business, and export potential.
Capture North is supported by the Danish Energy Agency as part of efforts to strengthen Danish CCUS development and international collaboration.
