Knowledge partners

Green innovation through broad partnerships with Danish knowledge partners

Partnerships with a range of knowledge and educational institutions foster greater innovation in the water and environmental technology sector. In Denmark’s water and environmental cluster, we therefore work closely with a number of selected knowledge partners who each contribute new knowledge and essential competencies to companies in their own way.

22 Danish knowledge and educational institutions can take part in Clean’s various partner activities. The partner group includes both the more traditional universities such as Aarhus University, University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and Technical University of Denmark (DTU), but also a number of university colleges such as University College Absalon, VIA University College and several business academies across the country.

Likewise, the GTS institutes often play an important role in Clean’s business-oriented activities, and new knowledge partners such as Aarhus Maskinmesterskole have joined the group, covering new areas within education and giving companies access to other types of relevant competencies.

Activating knowledge and networking opportunities

The core of the knowledge partner network is the opportunity to participate in joint innovation and development activities, where collaboration opens up different funding opportunities. This is reflected, for example, in our Videnbro projects, where companies can develop and apply for support for innovation projects in which one or more knowledge partners participate and provide knowledge and input to the companies’ innovation journey. In this way, the latest knowledge, research and competencies are transferred to companies, enabling them to take new steps in developing effective water and environmental technology solutions.

Furthermore, knowledge sharing is an important element in the sector, and together with the knowledge partners Clean can assist in developing and offering, for example, thematic events or concrete project development of larger research and development projects with both national and international scope.

Thematic events can take different forms, ranging from online webinars to physical workshops or conferences, and also create valuable networking opportunities across organisations and professional fields.

If you have specific project proposals, ideas for thematic events, or otherwise seek more information about opportunities for joint development and innovation activities with Clean, you are always welcome to reach out for an informal conversation.

Do you have an idea or would you like to know more?

Do you have an idea for an innovation project, a thematic event, or a collaboration with one or more of Clean’s knowledge partners? Then feel free to get in touch.

You do not need to have a fully developed project idea – often the best collaborations begin with an informal dialogue about opportunities, needs and relevant partners. Together, we can clarify how your idea can be further developed and whether there are opportunities for collaboration, funding, or knowledge-based sparring through Clean’s activities.

Contact Thomas Mikkelsen, Head of Program at Clean, for an initial conversation about the possibilities.
